Social preview
The card people see when your link is shared in a chat or on social media.
When someone shares your page’s link in a chat or on social media, most apps show a card with a picture, a title and a short description. The Social preview tab in the editor decides what that card shows.
Pick a template
Choose one of the ready-made templates, built from your page’s own photo, name and colours, or Your picture to upload your own image. Glass Panel, Spotlight, Identity Card, Bold Title, Window Frame and Portrait Frame lay your page’s cover (or your own picture) across the whole card. You can drag any piece of the card into place on the live preview; each template remembers its own layout, and Reset layout puts that template’s pieces back without touching anything else.
Title and description
Write the card’s title (up to 70 characters) and description (up to 200 characters), or leave them as they are to use your page’s name and bio. Under Show on the card you can take the description, photo, title, link, @handle, badges or counts off the card; the rest moves up to close the gap. Hiding the description only changes the picture: apps still show it under the link’s title.
Framing and style
For templates with a picture behind the card, Picture blur softens it and Background dimming sets how dark the shade over it is. Crop and framing chooses which part of the picture and of your photo shows, and how close. Under Style, the accent colour colours the photo ring, frames and the highlight in your link, and the text size and colour change the title and description. Everything left on Automatic follows the template, which keeps words readable on bright or busy pictures. Glass Panel also has its own panel opacity and blur, and Portrait Frame lets you pick a rounded, square or round photo.
Your own picture
A JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB and at least 600 by 315 pixels. Add a short description of the picture for people who use screen readers.
The beseen logo
Cards show a small beseen mark. With Premium, you can take it off.
Save and check
Press Save changes. Reset to page defaults goes back to the card made from your page. Apps that already showed your link may keep their old copy of the card for a while: that is up to each app.
A private page has no social preview picture: its link shows no card until the page is public.
