Analytics, privacy and discoverability
Page statistics
Views, clicks, where visitors come from, and how long the numbers are kept.
Where to find them
Open your page in the editor and choose the Analytics tab. Only you see these numbers. Home in your dashboard also shows views and visitors for one page.
What you see
- Views and Visitors (each visitor counted once a day).
- Link clicks, and clicks per view.
- Followers.
- A chart of views and link clicks, which you can also read as a table.
- Where visitors came from (the website’s name only), your top links, countries and devices (phone, tablet or computer).
Pick the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Days run from midnight to midnight, UTC.
What is not counted
- Your own visits while you are logged in.
- Known bots.
- The same visitor opening the page again within 30 minutes, or clicking the same link again within 60 seconds.
Privacy
We do not store visitors’ IP addresses and set no cookie for statistics. Numbers are kept for 395 days. The privacy policy explains exactly how visitors are counted.
What is public
- If you turn on Show the view count in the editor’s Visibility section, visitors see your page’s view count. It is off until you turn it on.
- If your page is listed in Explore, Explore shows its total view count, and ranks pages by it.
- Everything else (visitors, clicks, referrers, countries, devices) stays yours.
Our team can hold back a page’s public view count while they check it; the editor tells you when that happens.
Milestones
Your bell lets you know when a page reaches 100, 1,000, 10,000 views and so on.
